For the Flight Information Display System (FIDS) upgrade at Changi Airport Terminal 2, Fiber Tech Solutions laid 70 km of fibre optic cable and terminated 4,000 connectors on a single project.
The flight information displays across a terminal depend on a fibre backbone behind them. On this upgrade our scope was that fibre: 70 km of cable laid and 4,000 connectors terminated.
Airport terminal fibre work is not daytime office cabling. Our crews are trained and equipped for confined-space, trackside and live-tunnel environments and work night engineering hours across Singapore’s critical infrastructure, scoping access against what the site permits.
