As a sub-contractor, Fiber Tech Solutions has installed signal cables, cable support systems and LV cables across 100+ substations island-wide, and jointed 24 and 36-core fibre in joint bays and cable tunnels serving SCADA, fire protection, communications and RF systems.
Substation work combines signal and LV cabling with the tray and containment that carries it inside the compound. Our scope covered all three — the cables and the cable support systems — across more than a hundred sites.
In the joint bays and cable tunnels, the work is fibre jointing at 24 and 36 cores for the systems the network runs on: SCADA, fire protection, communications and RF. Our crews are trained and equipped for confined-space and live-tunnel environments and work night engineering hours across Singapore’s rail, power and water networks.
