Fiber Tech Solutions designs and installs cable support systems across Singapore: cable tray, trunking, ladder rack and conduit, including uPVC conduit for outdoor and plant environments. Containment is the part of an installation nobody photographs and everybody inherits. It decides what the cabling costs to install, what it costs to add to in five years, and whether the cables inside it stay within bend radius and away from services they should not be near.
The commonest fault is containment sized for the cables on day one. It is full at handover, so the next contractor runs cable outside it, or over the lid, or in a second tray fixed to the first. Within a few years nobody can trace a circuit and the fill is well past what the cables are rated to sit in.
Fill capacity, spare provision, access for pulling and a route that a person can physically reach are worth settling on the drawing rather than on site. Where a job needs it, Fiber Tech Solutions designs the route and then installs it, so the same party carries responsibility for the containment and the cables inside it.
Data and signal cabling run too close to power, or sharing containment with it, is a source of intermittent faults that are extremely hard to find afterwards. They appear as a link that passes on handover day and degrades under load, or a camera that drops off the network when plant starts up. Separation, crossing at right angles where crossings are unavoidable, and correct bonding are cheaper to get right at first fix than to chase later, and they are checked as part of the certified test results that are handed over.
